About this Entry
exofilms:

The Extra/Ordinary Film Project will be in High Springs, FL on July 9th @ Priest Theater 15 NW 1st Street premiering 3 Feature Films and meeting area actors and filmmakers at The Extra/Ordinary Film Festival.  The event is as follows:

1:00 PM       Acting Symposium    " ACT, like you know what you're doing! "
Meet Director Jon Russell Cring and Cinematographer Tracy Nichole Cring as they discuss acting techniques learned in the process of making 12 feature films in 20 months including auditioning, acting for the camera, characterization, and the four easy things you can do now to become a great actor.
(We will be looking for a few actors to stay for the Directing Symposium to demonstrate directing techniques along with scouting talent for six upcoming films in 2010.)

2:30 PM       Film Making Symposium   " Fast, Cheap and In Control! "
Meet Director Jon Russell Cring and Cinematographer Tracy Nichole Cring as they discuss techniques learned in the process of making 12 feature films in 20 months. This is an invaluable opportunity for experienced and up and coming film makers covering directing actors of all talent levels, getting the most out of your budget, and the five things every film maker needs to know. Actors can also garner useful information in understanding the nuts and bolts of what Directors look for and expect.

9:00 PM Feature Film Premier
Four On The Floor
Official Selection at Jesse James and Washougal Film Festivals.

Four high school friends try to keep their dreams of becoming a famous rock band alive
while learning to make a living repairing cars. A music filled comic coming of age romp!
(starring Last Comic Standing's Killer Beaz and featuring music fresh from the stages at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza
De Novo Dahl, The Pink Spiders, Luna Halo, American Bang and five original rock songs)

Adding to the pressures of a break neck production schedule of filming and premiering 12 films in 20 months, Extra/Ordinary challenged budgets to stay ultra-shoestring by enlisting the cooperation of businesses and organizations to donate locations and equipment so that production values didn’t suffer, and the films maintain Hollywood style scope. Shooting in historic buildings, jails, hospitals, high schools, football games, the desert, and the largest Christmas store in the US.

After premiering their twelfth film FOUR ON THE FLOOR (Rock and Roll Musical featuring bands from Bonnarroo appearing at Washougal and Jesse James Film Fests) to sold out crowds in Nashville Tennessee, they are looking now to set aside the time to spread the word to aspiring talent about the things the learned in this real life film school.
